Humidity in the summer in the enemy of energy conservation. The greater
the humidity level, the hotter it feels causing the air conditioner to
work longer and rack up those ultra high electricity bills.
Excess humidity is also the enemy of the household, causing the damp
musty small in the basement. Reducing humidity levels to less than 50%
will reduce or help to eliminate the damp musty smell in the basement.
